Evidently they do. The seven year campaign to portray the terrorists incarcerated in Guantanamo and interrogated in CIA "black sites" as innocent victims of American repression has been more successful than its architects -- al-Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and its offshots CAIR, the Muslim American Society, ISNA and other supporters of the jihad -- could have dreamed. Sixty-two terrorists (that we can identify) have already returned to their war against the United States after being freed from Guantanamo. There may be hundreds more. Yesterday, one of them turned up as al-Qaeda's number two man in Yemen.
This would not have been possible without the support of the entire political left, led by the ACLU and the Center for Constitutional Rights, two organizations that support the agendas of the terrorists and while verbally distancing themselves from their methods in practice, do everything in their power to get them released when they are caught. The American terrorist Bernadine Dohrn, who regards the terrorists as freedom fighters, is one of leaders of the ACLU. Michael Ratner, a lifelong activist in Communist causes who wrote a eulogy for American traitor Philip Agee, portraying Agee as an American hero, is the chief organizer of the lawyers team to release the Guantanmo terrorists.
And since the pro-terrorist, anti-American fifth column is a key constituency of the Democratic Party, the new Democratic president has announced that he will close Guantanamo and the CIA interrogation centers. I am sure there is rejoicing in Waziristan, Gaza and other capitals of terror around the world.
