Over a four-week span, Frontpage will publish profiles
of individual chapters of the Muslim Students Association and Muslim Student
Union on a variety of campuses around the country, showing how they work to
advance the cause of radical Islam and to lead the effort to stigmatize Israel. These
profiles are compiled in our new booklet, "The Muslim Students Association
and the Jihad Network." To read the introduction, click

MSA-GWU
has participated numerous times in MSA National’s “Ramadan Fast-a-Thon”along
with nearly 280 fellow Muslim organizations (mostly chapters of MSA). The
purpose of this event is to raise, through temporary fasting, public awareness
of hunger and homelessness in Muslim communities. Recent endorsers of the
Fast-a-Thon include:127
• Sheikh Muhammad Nur Abdullah, former
President of the Islamic Society of North America, a Muslim Brotherhood front,
and currently a member of the Shari'a Scholars Association of North America.128
• Sheikh Abdullah Idris Ali, former
president of the Islamic Society of North America, a Muslim Brotherhood front,
and currently a Board of Advisors member of the American Muslim Council.129
• Imam Zaid Shakir, Yale
University's former Muslim chaplain
who has expressed his desire to see the United States eventually become
"a Muslim country ruled by Islamic
law."130
• Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, who has supported
the terrorist mastermind Omar Abdel Rahman and the convicted cop-killer Jamil
Al-Amin (aka H. Rap Brown).131
MSA-GWU
opposed the Terrorism Awareness Project’s October 2007 Islamo-Fascism Awareness
Week activities, whose purpose was to educate American college students about
the nature of the fanatical religious movement aiming to create a global Muslim
empire. In MSA-GWU’s description, the event was an exercise in anti-Muslim
bigotry.
While
giving a speech on the terrorists’ agenda as part of Islamo-Fascism Awareness
program, David Horowitz was challenged by an MSA-GWU member in attendance. When
Horowitz publicly asked her whether she would be willing to denounce the terror
group Hamas, she refused, claiming not to know what Hamas was.132
