An Anonymous E-mail Warning From the University of Wisconsin:
MURMURING around the University of Wisconsin is that the paper which ran your ad last week (The Badger Herald) will be facing a slew of attacks from the multicultural communities on campus.
At last night's student council meeting, members of the Diversity Committee made it clear that their intention is to petition the university to ban the newspaper from all classrooms and university buildings. I don't believe they have themselves organized yet, but your ad and a couple of guest editorials on racial preferences have made the newspaper the new cause for the left to rally around.
Their message is clear: if you print contorversial opinion pieces, ads, or cartoons, you loose you "privilage" to be heard at the University of Wisconsin. While I doubt their attempts will be successfull, the rhetoric is certainly scary.
Comment from David Horowitz;
This is not about David Horowitz. It's about the stark fact that our universities have been transformed into political institutions, less free than at any time since the 17th Century. There are issues on which it is clear that no one may take a different point of view from that of the leftists who now control these campuses and have purged or intimidated into silence all dissenting elements. No professor is going to speak out against reparations. But there are people fighting back. Messages to the Daily Californian message board, for instance, are running ten to one against the Daily Cal's decision to censor my ad.
