The idea that Rupert Murdoch's New York Post has a hidden agenda to make white people look bad is pretty laughable. But I guess if you work for David Horowitz, Murdoch looks like a leftist.

Crime is closely associated with poverty. Adjusted for poverty, crime rates by race are fairly even among races. Especially in a city like New York, poverty is concentrated among blacks and Latinos, so crimes, particularly those with economic motives, are disproportionately committed by people of color. There are records kept by the FBI on hate crimes -- crimes motivated by race, among other things -- and while there are hate crimes committed by blacks against whites, there are more committed by whites against blacks.
